Laguna Niguel Chamber Guest Pass

Proposed Signup and Sharing Plan:

Both signup paths provide the same Guest Experience, with the same information on the back. Separate signup pages help the Chamber track how guests was acquired.

The chamber will offer one guest pass with two ways to sign up:
A public link and QR code on the Chamber website.
An invitation link shared by a Chamber member.

Anyone can open the public signup page, enter the required information, and add the Guest Pass to their Apple or Google Wallet. This offer multiple ways to reach potential new members such as via: social media, email, text messaging and print.

A “Get a Guest Pass” link and QR code will appear on the Chamber website.

The guest will receive the same Chamber Guest Pass experience. The Chamber will record the signup as a member referral, including the member and business names entered by the guest.
A “Share a Guest Pass” link will appear on the back of each Chamber Membership Pass. Members can share this link with guests.

The link will open a separate signup page that is on a private page listed on the Chamber website. It will request the same basic information as the public page, plus:
Which Chamber member referred you?
What is the referring member’s business name?

How Referral Tracking Works

The referral page is unlisted, but not private. Anyone with the link can use or share it. Member and business names are reported by the guest and are not automatically verified.
The Chamber can verify referrals and give individual members credit / rewards.

Birthday Field
We recommend leaving birthday off the initial signup. If the Chamber decides to send birthday greetings, it can later add an optional birth month and day field that clearly explains why the information is requested. A birth year is not needed.

LNCC Board

Before the Guest Pass is finalized, the board should review and approve:

  1. The two signup paths: a public link on the Chamber website and a member sharing link on the back of the Membership Pass.

  2. The Guest Pass itself: its design and the information and links shown on the back.

  3. The signup forms: the information required to deliver the pass, the two referral questions, and the privacy and messaging consent language.

  4. The birthday decision: whether birthday greetings should be considered for a later phase.
